Autodesk Revit 2010

Revit Architecture 2010 is a BIM (Building Information Modeling) application. BIM allows users to draw 3-dimensional dynamic models that contain building data for use through the lifecycle of the project. It represents a shift in the way architects have traditionally designed using CAD applications In place of using basic symbols, such as lines, arcs and circles, to represent building elements, Revit uses modeling components, such as, walls, doors, windows and spaces that have individual intelligience and intelligience in interacting with other components within the model.

Some of the key features of Revit 2010:

• User Interface--new streamlined user interface, standardized across all Autodesk products
• Interoperability--improved coordination with other Autodesk products
• Energy Analysis--color code surfaces and openings and perform an energy analysis
• Expanded API--developers can create families and interact with external programs
